Katrina Martinez is a huge Beyoncé fan and also the owner of Biëryoncé. The Brooklyn brewery owner thought it would be a great idea to make a beer with a name very similar to her idol to pay her some homage. The beer is not only pronounced somewhat like the singers name, the label is very similar to her self titled album released in 2013. After Queen B sent out a cease-and-desist letter, Martinez said, “We’re disappointed she didn’t take it as a compliment, but, oh well. It was fun while it lasted.” The beer was originally briefly introduced to the public in 2015 and then reintroduced late November of this year.
